Firefly

Leave the switch off

I don't have to turn on the light

To see the truth

Once hidden in the dark

I no longer fear the gloom it contains

I've learned to bloom

Without the light

Time is moving fast every day

Yet I'm not running

I'm walking cuz life

Is more about pacing than racing

Trusting that every step I take

Falls into place in ways

So that I can breathe, freely

I've stopped searching for this light to save me

I’m no longer desperate for a way out of this maze

I found my glow within my soul

I dance to my own rhythm, my own flow

So for now ill stay in the dark

Where I learned to be my own spark 

My conscience is telling me that my broken pieces

Have turned into a beautiful mosaic

I’m whole now
